Hojicha at the Opening of Unknown Archive London

Recently, we had the pleasure of serving warm hojicha at the opening party of Unknown Archive London’s new store in Soho.

Known for its carefully curated selection of archive pieces from Japanese domestic brands, the London-based store brings together names such as Comme des Garçons, Yohji Yamamoto, and Issey Miyake. Founded by a Japanese owner, the store has built a community of customers who share a deep appreciation and respect for Japan through fashion.

For the opening of their new Soho location, we served warm Kanazawa bo hojicha throughout the evening. It was an opportunity to share our tea not only with tea lovers and those who prefer not to drink alcohol, but also with many guests experiencing Japanese tea for the first time.

Born from the tea culture of Kanazawa, this traditional hojicha continues to find its way to new people and new places. We are grateful to see it being enjoyed here in London, and to share a small part of Kanazawa’s tea culture with the community.
