Introducing the z:en News Page: Stay Updated

We are pleased to announce the launch of our new "News" page on the z:en online shop.

Moving forward, we will use this space to share our latest updates—from upcoming events and new arrivals to the evolving journey of our brand.

On February 22nd and 28th, we held a special pop-up event at Japan Centre Ichiba in London. It was a joy to see so many guests experience z:en’s Kanazawa Bo Hojicha, and we were deeply moved by the wonderful feedback we received.

What is "Bo Hojicha"?
Bo Hojicha is a unique type of roasted tea made from the stems (stalks) of the tea plant. While tea leaves are typically the main focus, stems are often separated during the harvest to protect the delicate leaves.
In our roots of Kanazawa, Ishikawa, the wisdom of our ancestors led to the creation of Bo Hojicha—a beautiful culture of roasting these stems to create a fragrant, flavorful brew without waste. At z:en, we embrace this traditional Kanazawa craft, bringing it to light as a refined tea that fits seamlessly into modern life.

During the event, many guests shared that it was "so easy to drink without the typical bitterness of green tea" and "so mild it doesn't need sugar or syrup." This gentle, clean, and naturally sweet profile is exactly what makes z:en’s Kanazawa Bo Hojicha so special.

We look forward to meeting you again at our next event, where our tea will also be available for purchase.

Stay tuned for our next announcement.
